LegalWorks advises Jernhusen on the development of Centralstaden in Gothenburg

LegalWorks has been entrusted with providing corporate legal counsel to Jernhusen in connection with the development of Centralstaden in Gothenburg. The project, which is linked to the Swedish Transport Administration’s Västlänken project, represents a historic transformation of the Centralen area into a new urban district featuring offices, housing, hotels, restaurants, services and cultural venues. LegalWorks partner Carl Otto Lange leads the assignment and serves as legal counsel to Jernhusen. Carl Otto has more than 30 years of experience as a real estate lawyer, focusing on real estate law, construction law and development law. He has extensive experience working with real estate projects and property development at law firms, companies and public organisations.

As part of the assignment, LegalWorks will provide strategic legal support to Jernhusen’s management team and project managers. The work will include assistance in negotiations relating to development agreements, land allocation and property formation; advice on real estate transactions; legal support and contract management in construction and development projects; matters relating to easements and rights of use; project-related tenancy matters; and the identification and management of legal risks related to environmental responsibility and sustainability. The assignment is expected to run until September 2026.
