LegalWorks strengthens its offering within Corporate/M&Aand capitalmarkets through the acquisitionof REGO
LegalWorks has acquired REGO's business as a strategic step in the firm's long-term growth. Through the transaction, LegalWorks will strengthen its position within Corporate/M&A and capital markets and increase its capacity to take on larger and more complex projects. The acquisition means that Jonas Ingvarson, founder of REGO, will become a partner in LegalWorks and take over as Head of Corporate/M&A, with responsibility for further developing and scaling up the firm's Corporate/M&A offering, as well as for developing the firm's offering within capital markets law and capital markets issues.
"The acquisition of REGO is an expression of LegalWorks ambition to build the next generation of business law advisory services. We see a significant increase in demand in M&Aand corporate finance, and a great demand in the market for business-oriented and value-driven legal advice. After many years of collaboration with Jonas Ingvarson and REGO, a merger was a natural step for both of us," says Ulf Lindén, CEO and co-founder of LegalWorks.
"Over the past few years, I have gotten to know the team at LegalWorks and i am very impressed by the position in the business law market that LegalWorks has built up over the past decade. LegalWorks has a very strong, senior and competent team in the central parts of business law and a very strong track record in LegalTech. LegalWorks' DNA is based on delivering high-quality business-oriented and cost-effective legal advice to clients, combined with technical support services, which i believe is a crucial success factor in the dynamic business law market. I am very much looking forward to becoming part of the team at LegalWorks and to continue to deliver high-quality, business-oriented legal advice to new and existing clients." says Jonas Ingvarson, founder of REGO and new Head of Corporate/M&A at LegalWorks.
